A few months ago our friend and local writer Shayne Benowitz approached us with an assignment from Modern Luxury Brides South Florida & The Caribbean. She was working on a story about wedding planners who incorporated a personal touch in planning an extra special wedding.
Since Megan had planned her older brother Brandon’s wedding last February, his wedding fit the bill perfectly. The story also features an Israeli planner from Miami who incorporated spice towers reminiscent of the Israeli marketplace into a Jewish wedding, a Barbadian planner incorporating both Barbadian and Cuban cuisine into a wedding for a bride and groom from each island, respectively, and a Palm Beach wedding planner who planned her very own wedding when she got engaged in Paris.
The story opens with Brandon and Samantha’s Casa Marina wedding and Megan’s special touches as both honorary “best man” and wedding planner. With Samantha being from England, the church was decorated in an English garden motif and they flew in suitcases full of English candy for guests, as well as tea and biscuits for everyone to go home with.
We’re thrilled to be featured in this beautiful glossy magazine and so honored to have a photo of Megan and Brandon taken by Julie Ambos of Studio Julie included in the story, as well. Putting that extra special touch on all of our clients destination weddings is at the heart of what we do week after week at Swankey Events.
