Roya and Brad planned a gorgeous Key West destination wedding. They hit all the marks with a tropical beach wedding at Sunset Key, cocktail hour sailing through the harbor with Fury Water Adventures, dinner and party under a tent on the beach, and then an after party on Duval Street at Irish Kevins!
The ceremony was absolutely gorgeous. Roya’s friend Scott Miller officiated and they incorporated Roya’s family’s tradition of rubbing sugar cubes over the bride and groom’s heads for good luck. We loved the gorgeous cream and purple flowers designed by Mama Flowers, and the ocean backdrop was breathtaking.
Before the ceremony, Roya got gorgeous with Key West Hair and Makeup inside her Sunset Key cottage. After the ceremony, the party hopped aboard a Fury catamaran for cocktails and appetizers. Roberto DeBourg and the Flats Band rocked the party on the bow of the boat and then later at the reception back at the beach
Notice the shots of the gorgeous cake below. Guess what? It’s a faux cake! Not being big fans of traditional cake, they ordered the faux cake to keep with tradition, but decided on local favorite frozen key lime pies on a stick dipped in chocolate. Delicious!
It was a fun-filled reception with plenty of heart-warming moments. Not ready to call it a night, the party shuttled back to Key West to hit Irish Kevin’s on Duval Street–Roya’s favorite bar!
Studio Julie captured these gorgeous photos. Congratulations Roya and Brad! What a lovely wedding and a lovely couple!
