Mismatched bridal dresses

These days there really are no rules when it comes to weddings. After all, rules are meant to be broken, right? And when it comes to destination weddings, well, you have even more freedom.

One trend that’s been prevalent in the last couple of years revolves around what the bridal party wears -specifically the maid/matron of honor and the bridesmaids. Gone are the days where bridesmaids are wearing the same dress, shoes, jewelry, and hair up do. These days bridemaids are getting to show their individual personalities by wearing a mixture of complimentary colors to create a fresh, vibrant and interesting feast for the eyes.

Here’s Swankey Events’ photo collage of our favorite mismatched bridesmaid attire. What do all these photos have in common? The colors in each compliment one another. While there are no rules, it is wise to at least choose colors that compliment one another so that the maids still look like they belong in the same wedding.
