Swankey Rehearsal: Linsey & Grayson

You met Linsey and Grayson last week on the blog with their super fun motion booth video courtesy of Studio Julie. The couple from Miami had a wonderful wedding weekend and Studio Julie was there to snap up the amazing moments. Today, we’re going to share their gorgeous rehearsal dinner at the Hemingway House.

Catered Affairs provided the tasty catering, including fish, beef and chicken sliders, and Rodriguez Cigars created a cigar rolling station. Guests mingled in the open air at this historic home for a lovely pre-wedding party. Here’s a few pictures from the evening. For more of Studio Julie’s images from the evening, click here.

Swankey Rehearsal: Stephanie & Phil

Stephanie and Phil are a gorgeous couple who shared a wonderful wedding weekend in Key West starting with their rehearsal dinner at the Hemingway House with a Cuban-themed soiree.

We incorporated an authentic Cuban cigar roller from Rodriguez Cigars into the reception for some ready-t0-enjoy party favors. We also placed candles inside of old cigar boxes for a fun decor twist. Guests got into the spirit with men sporting guayabaras and fedoras or panama hats, and the ladies looked especially saucy!

Square One Restaurant catered a delicious Cuban buffet with all the requisite dishes. The Hemingway House proved to be such a romantic setting for the shindig with paper lanterns strung overhead and round tables with white tablecloths on the front lawn provided by Eventfully Yours.

A Very Special Swankey Rehearsal: Megan’s Brother Brandon & His Bride Samantha

Wedding bells are ringing in the Jones household this year, starting with my brother Brandon marrying the beautiful Samantha. I guess it’s nice having a wedding planner in the family because I was there with Swankey Events to plan the entire wedding weekend, including his rehearsal dinner.

The party took place at a friend’s idyllic private residence in Key West overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. I enlisted Mama Flowers for the gorgeous flowers and Eventfully Yours for the party rentals.

It was a true family affair, as you can see with the picture above of me and my brother. Close friends also joined in the celebration, and our longtime family friend Alfonso even treated us to entertainment on the guitar.

One of the funniest–and my favorite–details of the rehearsal was the cake that Key West Cakes created based on an actual picture of Brandon! The catering by Marriott Beachside was absolutely divine and included fried mac & cheese, duck confit, shrimp & grit cakes, and prime rib.

My little niece Lilly nearly stole the show and definitely captured the eye of Studio Julie who was there photographing all the festivities. For more pictures of the rehearsal dinner, click here. Lilly joined in on my parents’ toast and was just absolutely adorable!

I’m so happy for my brother and Samantha, and it was an absolute honor to plan his rehearsal dinner and wedding. Stay tuned for details and pictures from the spectacular wedding day!

A Swankey Wedding: Kelly & Darrell

Kelly and Darrell hail from Orlando and made the trek south for their Key West destination wedding. Fun fact, Darrell proposed to Kelly at an Orlando Magics basketball game! They had a traditional ceremony at Key West’s United Methodist Church. It was a truly touching occasion. Kelly’s a twin and the final of the pair to get married.

After the reception, the party shuttled over to the Hyatt Resort aboard the Conch Tour Train for a spectacular cocktail hour and reception. Milan Events created a gorgeous decor theme and Eventfully Yours covered us for extra party rentals. I especially loved the wedding cake topper that Kelly ordered custom from Etsy to resemble the couple. Adorable!

DJ Jimmy Jamz got the party started and these guys danced the night away to old school hip hop. So fun!

It was such a charming family affair. Congratulations to Kelly and Darrell! You guys were awesome. Of course, the amazing photographs are courtesy of Studio Julie. Check out more pictures of this bright and beautiful wedding here.

A Swankey Wedding: Erica & Frank

For some people, planning a Key West wedding isn’t a destination wedding, but a homecoming. This was the case for Erica when she wed Frank at the Casa Marina. She and Megan grew up together on the island and even cheered together at Key West High School. “Go Conchs!”

This summer, Erica became the fourth of her sisters to wed at the elegant Casa Marina, making it a true family tradition. She and her bridesmaids got dolled up with the help of The Visible Difference Salon before the ceremony on the beach beautifully decorated by Milan Event. Florida Keys Party Rentals provided the chairs and extra rental items.

The reception was an elegant affair with an adorable candy table serving up blue candy exclusively. DJ Jimmy Cooper from Soundwave DJs got the crowd on their feet. This was definitely a fun, local bunch who were ready to dance the night away! They even had some choreographed dances to share! Soundwave also produced the wedding video for the couple.

It was a truly fun and festive occasion. Congratulations Erica and Frank! For more pictures from their wedding, please visit the talented Studio Julie and her blog.

A Swankey Wedding: Brooke & Justin’s Video

We traveled up the Keys in December to Marathon for Brooke and Justin’s Tranquility Bay wedding. The Key West wedding crew made the trip including CineaVerde responsible for this gorgeous video, Studio Julie for photography, Milan Event for floral and decor, and Southernmost Glam for hair and makeup. The setting was absolutely stunning with a ceremony held at the San Pablo Catholic Church and reception to follow back at the resort. Enjoy this video and try not to get choked up! Keep your eyes peeled for Brooke’s “something blue.” Hello glittery Louboutins!

A Swankey Rehearsal: Leslie & Patrick

Whew! This summer is flying by and we’ve been in the full throes of wedding season! In June, Megan took the reigns for Leslie and Patrick Cadic’s gorgeous wedding. Their photographer from Atlanta, Blake Burton snapped up some absolutely amazing pictures.

The couple toured the island with family and friends by renting scooters from Pirate Scooter Rentals. They rode through Bahama Village, Duval Street, and past the White Street Pier by the beach. To finish off the day, the party piled aboard Fury Water Adventures for a beautiful sunset sail.

Here’s a few of Blake’s gorgeous pictures of this gorgeous couple the day before their Key West Wedding. To see the entire day, head to Blake’s website.
